Tobacco Use Prevention Education -TUPE

The Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) program is funded through Proposition 99, a tobacco sales tax approved by voters in 1988.  The goal of the program is to reduce tobacco use by providing students and the community with research-based information on tobacco use prevention  and cessation.  In support of the wellness of all members of our community, the Marin County Office of Education collaborates with schools and districts to achieve and maintain tobacco-free certification and to provide instruction and activities that raise awareness of the risks associated with tobacco use.
