Through the PreK-3 Initiative, MCOE supports quality improvement activities in 38 preschool programs that feed into the nine participating elementary.
Quality Improvement plans are organized around:
- The California Preschool Learning Foundations
- The Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) framework
- The Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS)
- The Desired Results Developmental Profile for Preschool (DRDP-ps).
High quality professional development activities and expert coaching are grounded in current brain development research, child development and place an emphasis on reflective practice.
